“Christmas” Comes Early For Jacob Volkmann – Former UFC Lightweight Signs With World Series of Fighting
by Scott "Kubryk" Sawitz on February 27, 2013

Jacob Volkmann, who was recently released from the UFC during their “Bloody Wednesday” alongside Jon Fitch, has already found a new fighting home. Volkmann, per MMA Fighting, has just signed with the World Series of Fighting.

He’s expected to make his first appearance in June; no opponent has been set.

Kubryk’s Take: This is actually a great move for Volkmann; WSOF has notoriously fighter friendly contracts and he won’t be given anyone who’s world class. This is a good spot to rebuild himself, get a handful of wins and find himself back in the UFC sooner than later.
