Roy Jones Jr will indeed fight again, and will do so in his hometown of Pensacola, FL on October 7 against Danny Santiago, according to Dan Rafael’s Twitter (if you are a boxing fan on Twitter, you need to be following this man).

Roy Jones Jr (54-7, 40 KOs) is 41 years old and has lost three of his last five fights. He contemplated retirement after his last fight, an April unanimous decision loss to Bernard Hopkins, but apparently the former four-division champion isn’t done yet.

Roy Jones Jr’s October 7 fight will be at cruiserweight and will come against Danny Santiago (31-4-1, 19 KOs). Santiago has fought only twice in the last three years and his most notable fights were 2007 losses to Antonio Tarver and Zsolt Erdei.
