UFC 114 Live Attendance and Gate Figures

This past month’s UFC 114 event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas officially drew 14,246 spectators for a $3,730,125 live gate.

Of the 14,246 fans, 13,294 fans purchased tickets, and just 952 were issued complimentary admission. Additionally, only 12 tickets went unsold, which resulted in a virtual sellout.

UFC 114 took place May 29 and featured the long-awaited grudge match between “The Ultimate Fighter 10″ coaches and ex-champions Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Michael Bisping met Dan Miller in the co-headliner of the night’s pay-per-view broadcast.

UFC officials initially estimated a crowd of 15,081 and a live gate of $3.895 million for the event. Despite the lower amount, UFC 114′s gate total ranks fifth all-time in venue history.

The gate revenue for UFC 114, however, reflects the current economic climate, pulling in $3.73 million.

In comparison, last year’s UFC 100 featuring Brock Lesnar versus Frank Mir, which took place on July 11 at Mandalay Bay Events Center, drew a paid attendance of 9,764 people for gate receipts of $5.1 million.

The year prior, UFC 86 featuring Quinton Jackson versus Forrest Griffin, on July 5, drew a paid attendance of 9,630, also at Mandalay Bay Events Center, for gate receipts of $3.35 million.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena’s all-time top UFC gates include:

  1. UFC 66 (Liddell vs. Ortiz II): $5,397,300 gate (13,761 attendance)
  2. UFC 91 (Couture vs. Lesnar): $4,815,675 (14,272)
  3. UFC 71 (Liddell vs. Jackson): $4,304,000 (14,728)
  4. UFC 94 (St. Pierre vs. Penn II): $4,290,000 (14,885)
  5. UFC 114 (Rampage vs. Evans): $3,730,125 (14,246)
