UFC has responded to the Strikeforce show on CBS by announcing a competing show of their own.
Dana White confirmed today that UFC is running a show on April 17th, head-to-head with the announced Strikeforce show on CBS. There are no fights confirmed, although Matt Serra vs. Mike Swick is being finalized for the event. A fight between Wanderlei Silva vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama is not scheduled for the event.
The proposed UFC event would air on Spike TV. Strikeforce could move the date of the CBS show by a week, moving it head to head with the WEC PPV on April 24 from Sacramento.
Not sure if my last email made it to you or not. I can’t stress enough how I feel that your current spike TV schedule is losing my viewership and probably many others. Whenever I turn on my TV I always first turn to Spike to see if the UFC is on. If it isn’t I immediately switch to another channel. I could care less about TNA Wrestling, or 1000 ways to die, or what past worrier would win a battle. The best thing you have going for you is the UFC! It seems that you use to have more time devoted to it than you currently do.
I would love to see more of Anderson Silva. I think the all time perfect match would be Silva against Liota Mochada. (I hope I spelled his name correctly).
Thank you!
