Cintron Cruises By Ramos

Kermit Cintron was victorious this past weekend in a light middleweight bout. Fighting in his home country of Puerto Rico for the first time, Cintron rolled through Juliano Ramos causing the corner of Ramos to stop the fight in the 5th round. Cintron, 32-2-1 (28 KOs), put Ramos down in the 4th round and had his opponent in bad shape at the end of the round. Ramos’ corner did not allow their charge to come out for the 5th round.

Cintron had always been a fringe contender in the 147 – 154 lb divisions but he really boosted his standing by stopping highly regarded prospect Alfredo Angulo in May. It will be interesting to see where Cintron goes from here.
