Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller Rumored for Early 2010
by Nate Lawson on October 16, 2009

A report from MMAMadness.com explains that Demian Maia’s return after his disappointing loss at UFC 102 is set for either UFC 109 or UFC 110. Dan Miller is the rumored opponent.

Maia (11-1) was a top contender when he entered his middleweight match up against Nate Marquardt. Marquardt sent the submission ace for a spin at the beginning of the first round, sending Maia back in the middleweight pack with his first ever loss.

Dan Miller (11-2) is coming off of a loss to Chael Sonnen at UFC 98. Maia submitted Sonnen at UFC 95 via triangle choke.

Miller’s two losses come via decision. Maia has only went the distance one time in his career. The Brazilian has made a name for himself through his spot on submissions, as he has finished eight of his fights in that manner. Miller will enter this fight having never been finished in his career.
