Fighters Only reported today that Paul “Semtex” Daley will meet Carlos Condit in a welterweight bout at the UFC’s January 2 card, UFC 108.

Daley is coming off an enormous upset victory over former top welterweight contender, Martin Kampmann. “Semtex” replaced an injured Mike Swick at UFC 103. His victory of Kampmann launched him upwards in the divisional rankings, as it was his biggest victory to date.

Before his move to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Condit held the WEC welterweight title. After the division was disbanded, Condit lost his UFC debut to the aforementioned Kampmann. However, his fight against Jake Ellenberger at Ultimate Fight Night 19 returned more favorable results with Condit taking the split-decision victory.
