Franklin vs. Henderson set for UFC 103

The UFC show without a main event finally has one: Rich Franklin will meet Dan Henderson in a rematch of their January fight. Henderson won a razor-thin decision of the first bout and Franklin has been itching for a rematch from the moment the decision was announced.

This fight doesn’t make much sense to me unless Henderson is moving back to light heavyweight. If they’re having it at a catchweight, it does nothing to bolster either man as a contender for the middleweight or light heavyweight divisions. If it’s held at 205 pounds, however, it will become a fight that could propel either man towards a title shot sooner than later.

The UFC also officially confirmed the return of Mirko Cro Cop and the Cro Cop vs. Junior Dos Santos bout for UFC 103.
