EliteXC Cleared, Champ Suspension Upheld, Dana Gloats
by Matthew Michaels on October 23, 2008

Updates on two stories that might be moot considering reports that the promotion’s gone out of business

- F4Wonline.com is reporting that the Florida State Boxing Commission has formally declared that nothing illegal took place in the Seth Petruzelli/Kimbo Slice bout; and

- Also from F4W, the one-year suspension of EliteXC Heavyweight Champion Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva has been upheld by the California State Athletic Commission.

From another POV, while promoting Saturday’s UFC 90 PPV, UFC President Dana White told Yahoo! Sports that EliteXC “have no business being in this business. They have damaged us and they have damaged the sport… [allegations of EliteXC influencing a fight] makes me sick to my stomach. I’ve been killing myself for 10 years. I don’t need scumbags like that in here blowing this for everybody.”
